1964 Falcon XM Sedan 1964 Falcon XM Sedan. Bought: 1981. Sold: mid 1986. After owning the GT for about 2 years, I decided it needed a rebuild. I then bought the XM to use as daily driver in 1981. The GT was taking longer than first expected, so I decided a 302, C4 auto and 8 3/4 diff would satisfy my needs in the XM for a while. I bought a 1964 Fairlane for the donor parts. The motor lasted for approx one year of thrashing, so then I fitted another 302. The car was a real sleeper, hub caps and all. I often beat people from the traffic lights because they had no idea what was under the front. Photo shows the XM when first fitted with the "sleeper" gear. Only tell tale was a V8 badge on the grille. Exhaust finished at the mufflers under the back seat. I did eventually fit tailpipes to get the fumes out of the interior of the car! Other photos show my attempt at fitting twin Holleys on Edelbrock CrossRam manifold. It would have been great if I had finished the job!
